Agrimony - Oderminnich

 Translation:
Söhns: “In the Hils region, this plant is valued above all other medicinal herbs: ‘Agrimony,’ they say there, ‘is king of all herbs.’ [We have this saying applied to the pennyroyal.] In some parts of East Prussia, agrimony bears the name Mauchkraut, because it is used as a medicinal herb against Mauche (Low German: Mauke), a disease of horses’ feet: ‘The herdsmen use it (the herb) for livestock when they (the animals) have the Mauch, which is a disease that breaks out above the hooves (Klauen, here meaning feet).’”
